The Pillars of Women Empowerment Presented at Rimini,Italy

Speaking at the 2018 Meeting for the Friendship Amongst Peoples (Rimini Meeting) in Italy, ASIGE GHANA believes that it is time that we invest in women and girls or there is no sustainable future.

 This premises is based on the rapid population growth of the African continent with over 600 million women and girls with majority being under the ages of 25.
Also the rising unemployment levels is a caused for concern, it is time that leaders must wake up to invest in human capital, communities and entrepreneurship especially on women and girls or we are heading towards our dooms day.
It is an honor to speak to young people on contemporary issues that affects the foundation of life. ASIGE is particularly grateful to the European Commission for inviting us to participate and explore in this years 'Meeting for the Friendship Amongst Peoples in Rimini Italy, Dorcas  speeches centered on the respective roles of the institutions, the governments and the NGOs in supporting young people and in particular young women to gain access to capital and technical support to create flourishing and sustainable livelihoods as well as tools for empowering women economically and socially. One of the issues that ASIGE  presented is how the world can charter a pathway to develop a comprehensive policy on Social Protection particularly for women and the Vulnerable. What kind of partnerships that CSOs , NGOs and law enforcement agencies can put in place to protect women from gender base violence, cultural and societal barriers that inhibit women from reaching their full potential as well as protecting women caught up in war zones.
